Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and WayStation Security ("we", "us") for the WayStation app and website. By installing or using WayStation you agree to them.

1. What WayStation is

WayStation is an email viewer that shows messages in a sandbox and, with Pro, checks them for signs of phishing and malware. It connects to email accounts you own or are allowed to use.

2. Your license

We give you a personal, non-transferable license to install and use WayStation on devices you control. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer (except where the law allows), or redistribute the app, or use it to access accounts you aren't authorized to use.

3. Your accounts

You're responsible for your email accounts and the credentials you enter. Your use of each provider is also governed by that provider's terms.

4. Pro subscriptions

Pro is $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year (prices may vary by region and tax) and includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time before renewal through the store or payment provider you bought from. You keep Pro until the end of the paid period.
Payments are processed by Stripe (as merchant of record through Stripe Managed Payments), Google Play or Samsung Galaxy Store, and their terms and refund policies apply. For website purchases, contact us within 14 days if you have a problem and we'll make it right.
We may change prices with advance notice. Changes apply at your next renewal.

5. Threat detection has limits

WayStation's checks catch many common tricks, but no tool catches every threat. A "Clean" label does not guarantee an email, link or file is safe, and a "Threat" label may sometimes be wrong. Use your judgment, and don't open files or sign in through links you weren't expecting.

6. Deleting email

WayStation only deletes from your account when you choose to, by tapping "Delete from my account" or by turning on the optional close setting. Deleted mail goes to your provider's Trash, where your provider's retention rules apply. We aren't responsible for mail you choose to delete.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use WayStation to break the law, to access accounts without permission, or to interfere with any email provider's service.

8. Disclaimer

WayStation is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or harm from malware or phishing. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for WayStation in the 12 months before the claim, or $10 if you paid nothing.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using WayStation and uninstall it any time. We may suspend access if you break these terms. Sections 5, 8, 9 and 12 continue after termination.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and tell you in the app about important changes. Continuing to use WayStation means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
